Creating and restructuring
Create a Tencent Doc called "Q1 project retrospective", starting with a
structure of background, problems, conclusions and actions, with placeholders
under each.Rewrite this content as a Tencent Doc version suitable for my boss — tighter.Create a weekly report template in Tencent Docs with three sections:
this week's progress, risks, next week's plan.Sheets and forms
Create a Tencent Docs online sheet for tracking hiring, with fields for
candidate, role, interview round, status and notes.
Make status a dropdown: to screen / interview booked / interviewing /
offer sent / declined.Sort this sheet by status and flag the items needing attention this week.Create a Tencent Docs collection form for training sign-ups, with name,
department, contact and session. Session is single-select with three options:
morning / afternoon / full day.Define fields before asking for analysis
When aggregation, filtering or classification is involved, state field meanings and filter rules up front.
"Sort by status" — what values does status take? "Needing attention" — by what standard? Leave those unanswered and it defines them for you.
Summarising collaboration
Summarise the comments on this Tencent Doc, grouped into
"problems / suggestions / to confirm".
Note who raised each and where in the document it sits.
Merge duplicates, but say how many people raised each one. That last clause is useful — a problem raised by three people in a review is a real problem, and plain deduplication erases that signal.
Turn the meeting we just had into Tencent Docs minutes, adding action-item and
owner columns.Pull the five points from this project document that are worth presenting at
the weekly meeting.Queries and permissions
Who last modified this Tencent Doc?Who are the current collaborators, and who has edit access?Has the "Q2 business analysis" document been shared with the project group? Why it is written that way
State title, purpose, structure and audience when creating. "Create a retrospective document" and "create a retrospective document for management, with four sections — background, problems, conclusions, actions" are an order of magnitude apart.
Give a register before restructuring. Tighter, presentation-ready, minutes-style, external — those four differ completely in wording, detail and what may be disclosed.
Define fields and values for sheets. Dropdowns especially: define them properly up front and your later analysis will not be full of "offer sent", "sent offer" and "offer out".
Say the scope in collaboration scenarios. With multi-person comments, shared permissions or cross-department work, name the document and the people involved.
Acceptance checklist
- [ ] The document really is in your Tencent Docs, not a local file
- [ ] The structure matches what you asked for
- [ ] Sheet field names, types and dropdown options are correct
- [ ] Comment summaries miss nothing and merge nothing incorrectly
- [ ] Editing an existing document did not overwrite someone else's work
- [ ] Permission query results match what Tencent Docs actually shows
Be careful editing shared documents
It acts as you. Any document you can edit, it can edit.
Before modifying a collaborative document, check the recent update history:
Tell me who changed this document in the last three edits and what they
changed. I will decide after seeing that.Be especially careful with "reorganise the structure of this document" — it may rearrange the whole thing and move out what a colleague added yesterday.
Combining
Meeting → document → to-dos
Chained with the meeting Skill:
Get the AI minutes for meeting 450-743-140, turn them into structured minutes,
and save as a new Tencent Doc titled "[Minutes] subject - date".
Also extract the action items and append them to the existing "team to-dos"
online sheet, with status set to "not started".Data → sheet → share
Read hiring-detail.xlsx locally and create an online sheet in Tencent Docs
with the same structure, importing the data.
Then give me the share link — I need to send it to HR.Regular sync
Create an automation for Fridays at 18:00:
Read documents updated this week under D:/projects/progress, summarise them
into a weekly report, and append it to the "team weekly" Tencent Doc, newest
at the top.See Automations on a schedule.
FAQ
Reading, editing or sharing fails.
Check your account's permissions first. Whatever access you have to that document in Tencent Docs, it has — that is the connector's design principle ("never beyond your existing permissions").
Long documents come out badly organised.
Get a structure proposal first, then expand or rewrite.
Give me a restructuring proposal for this document: the new section structure,
what goes in each, and what should be cut. Do not change the document yet.Documents that update frequently?
Check recent changes before summarising or rewriting.
Has this document changed in the last 24 hours? Which parts? Can it read Tencent Docs content into a local task?
Yes — connectors work both ways. Note the credit rule: connector reads and writes cost nothing; understanding and summarising what comes back does.
Can artifacts go straight to Tencent Docs?
Yes. Click the share icon while previewing an artifact and choose upload to cloud — your cloud drive, Tencent Docs, the ima knowledge base or the Lexiang knowledge base.
